Everybody looks at porn. If you don't then either you're dead or lying. Still, there's a time and a place...and watching inappropriate movies at work during a normal work day is neither the time nor the place. My co-worker has taken it upon himself to peruse the indecents at all times of the day, whenever he's got a lighter work-load. The offensive materials range from mere pictures to full out videos with sound. Three problems with this are that he's slightly hard of hearing, so minimizing his already small 'porn' window in time for me to round the corner normally falls short. Number 2 is that he's relatively close to the kitchen. I just started this job, and if I notice it on the way to get my lunch then everyone notices it on the way to get their lunches. Finally, though we are an engineering firm, we do have a couple of women who work in our office. If this guy wants a reason to get fired quickly, he should keep popping up that picture of the splayed out ethnic woman who's being pleasured by someone else's entire hand (right...that's the kind of detail you can quickly get before he's able to catch on that you're watching). Needless to say, my new career with this company is safe while he's still here.

I have a similar issue at my workplace...
The offender in question is the ne'er-do-well teenaged son of one of the managers. I've walked in to see him viewing video in his open department (no cubes), and he has caused various office computers to have some lovely porno popups.
And yet, because his mother is a manager, he has avoided getting fired for almost 2 years. Redonkulous.
Don't be afraid to mention your coworker's issue! He deserves to get unceremoniously sacked.
My former boss used to watch porn all the time in his office. Not only that, but he would often print out these pics that printed to (of course) my printer. One day we (my co-workers and I) put them in a file folder and asked him if these belonged to a client's file and if so, which one. That put the ka-bosh on it for a while. When it started back up, we went to rotten.com and found some really grotesque pics involving mouse-traps and penises and we made a pic into a screensaver/background for his laptop. Needless to say...THAT put an end to the pics and porn!
Kimberhaze rocks hard!
I love that!
It's not what I would have done, cause I'm a little tiny black female with short person issues.
I find a co worker with porn, I invite everyone to see it.
Females and bosses to.
I guess you would say I'm confrontational.
I'd say i don't abide with nonsense.
Been there, exposed that.
Pardon the pun.
Thanks for the props!
I can be quite confrontational when needed, otherwise, I prefer to just chill and watch the various volcanoes erupt (if ya know what I mean). Hee Hee!
Kimber..I totally know what you mean.
When I worked at the US Postal Service REC site, there was this guy...let's call him Nasty McPervyPants...who literally got off on his job.
Trust me, some folks are just plain nasty. Head wired totally wrong.
I never saw it, but heard about it enough times I decided to sit next to him one night.
Check it: he tried it with me next to him.
I ain't EVEN cute;I've had gray hair since I was 30.
I was 42.
Any hoo...I made quite the scene.
He was fired that night.
I can only say this: men can be nasty, and women can be skanky.
But not in MYSPACE; not on MY JOB.
You go Kimber.
And any other person reading this: make a scene. Always.
You'll be glad you did.
