He's about to be fired, which is a very good thing. Billy Budd (Editor's note: name has been changed) from Newport Rhode Island, I honestly pray you are reading this, in fact, I'm going to send the link to this page when your ass is finally gone. How did you lie your way past the interview at my beloved company? How the hell did you manage to keep your job for almost a full year by doing almost nothing? You were sup-par at best as a entry-level analyst, yet you were hired as senior-level and got paid more than me, and I had to train you. Which would have been ok, but you never showed an ounce of initiative or drive and this pisses me off more than anything. 'Here's a position full of opportunity and pays you more than you deserve' your answer? 'no, i don't want it, i'm going to piss it away instead and make all my co-workers hate me.'
You are the laziest, most worthless person I have had to work with--ever. That's counting Burger king when I was 19. No exaggeration dude, live with that fact.
You love to blame other people for your shortcomings, especially me. Oh did you ever love to blame me for all the crap you screwed up on. how is it that people I gave half the training I gave you , went 10 times farther? Yet you look at me like i'm the bad guy because you weren't spoon-food every little detail like a whiny little 13 year old needy bitch?
You managed to piss off everyone connected to our dept, not just me. which is really hard to do dude, my hat's off to you on that. That takes hard work. Hardest work you've ever done.
I'm glad you're gone and unemployed because you've been scamming a free paycheck off OUR BACKS for almost a year. Did it really take you 9 months to write 6 bullet points on a workflow? Did you REALLY have 'connectivity issues' on the same days you decided to work from home?
Do you know that the day you actually leave (which will be before the end of aug '06) our dept will go out and celebrate your termination? You tried so hard to get everyone to like you, (which is a pretty bad narcissism issue), yet you cared nothing about why you were really there. You gave less than a shit about doing a good job here, you just wanted people to like you, and get paid doing it. It's time to stop pretending. Good riddance, if you were lying bleeding in the gutter i would not help you. I would kick you while you are down. That's how much I despise you and all like you.
Rot in hell, you utter piece of trash.
You child.
I hope you starve after your unemployement check runs out.

Tell 'im, honey.
I worked for Koch Materials in Wichita, Ks and had to train some pretty boy who was obviously whiter than me and somehow...cuter than me.
And I'm CUTE!
Sadly, he wore on my nerves by not working and getting paid until I buttonholed my "boss"...and I use that term loosely...and told him this:
Get rid of this idiot and stop making us do his work cause he charms every female in here but ME (and I'm straight) OR...Or...or...I tell your wife you've been seeing your co worker on the side.
You shoulda seen his face.
One year later, I'm working at Learjet as a mfg planner and computer ops...who do I see in the copy room?
Ha ha....if he hadn't bolted I WOULD HAVE NEVER REMEMBERED HIM AT ALL.
I got his silly ass fired the next WEEk.
Reason: 9 million dollar jets and the humans inside.
He was worthless...there was no way my conscience could live with an air crash in a Learjet because I was too wussy to rat his ass out.
I ratted him out so hard I made Joseph Valachi ratting out the Mafia look like the effin' Bird Man of Alcatraz..."I ain't no rat..."
Na
Goodness gracious, someone's a tad excessive with the vitriolic spew!
I'm sure it was bad, but the style of this story just makes the author look bitter and irrationally angry.
There is always one like this.. you have to face in life and take on the job of parenting or eliminating them in the name of sanity and honesty. I don't know why they get or keep their jobs, really. Can bosses and managers have a soft spot for continual idiots?
Ugly employee smucks that kill, main and destroy lives by their impared judgement and utter Incompetence and blissful Ignorance of follow through and excellence of doing it right and well!
Read this article http://www2.lingsoft.fi/~reriksso/competence.html and understand what you are dealing with for the benefit of mankind.. in a clear conscience and happy heart.
Sure, Skwerly...the story was bitter and irrationally angry.
But it was true. And yes, I've always had an anger issue.
I am OCD.
I'm sure everyone knows what that means.
That doesn't make the story false.
Sometimes humans, after accumulating days, weeks, months and/or years of misuse and humiliation can be bitter and excessively angry.
At least in my and the original post no one was killed.
And FYI: I was a Postal Worker. For reals.
Let it out. This is the only catharsis some of us have, so spew away. That's the whole point of the site, I thought.
i wrote this one. Just an update here. Yesterday was his last day. To those who think i am excessively bitter and angry: this IS the forum to let it all hang out. Better to type out your rage than act on it. that's why we are all here at this site, isn't it?
He had it coming for a long time coming, peeps. I'm sure he'll blame me for his termination as he's tried to blame me for everything else as per usual. He'll probably send me and my team an equally bitter email. oh well.
My spewing was indeed cathartic, now the anger has dissapated and has been replaced by relief. Now that he's gone I can move on, and enjoy my job the way i used to. Thank goodness for this site. that lets people vent.
TS- You have to learn to deal with morons in the workplace or you're going to have a stroke! Idiots are well loved because they are not a threat to those in High Places!
But more to the point, that's corporate America! Where everyone rises to the level of his own incompetence! It's one of the reasons I left the world of big business for my own business!
I'm glad your personal angst generator is getting his just desserts as that seldom happens in the business world, but don't figure you won't ever see another one. They are as numerous and persistant as zits on a teenager, and usually as ugly!
The business world will never thank you for giving them your life - they figure it's their due for the salaries they pay. And the more you do the more they expect.
If you ever find a position where you feel appreciated, well paid and challenged then you will be in the minority. Most people hate their jobs and one of the reasons is the incompetence, laziness and ineptness of their co-workers. Sad state of affairs isn't it?

Div, don't get me wrong. I absolutely love my job, and I can understand that this ...person will not be the last bad co-worker I see. but in 18 years of earning a paycheck, he was by far the worst. That says a lot. Despite his presence and impact, I still looked forward to coming in every day, which is says a heck of a lot about the other jobs i'v had. ;)
Let's just say that in my co., this person was in the minority. everyone,i mean everyone pulled their weight or more. he was the exception, and I had the unfortunate task of directly dealing with him for year. And we was a threat, actually, because he loved to blame me for everything, so I had to be on my toes to defend myself. Horrible. Unacceptable. I'd just rather focus on my job.
Thanks for the advice though...as you can see i'm a bit more rational and calm than my initial post. ;)
T- Excellent! Move On & Move Up is my motto! We can all become irrational at the iniquities of the world, but living well is the best revenge! Your job sounds like a good one and worth standing up to a few lazy "work bullies" for.
I'm at an art show in Sedona right now where it's over 100 and no people in sight to buy art! Sometimes I'd welcome the complication of crappy co-worker issues over the vagaries of art marketing in a Bush economy, lol, but mostly I don't miss the irritants of a 9 - 5!
